Bookkeeper

Classification: Position is Non-Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION: Bookkeeper

Summary/Objective
The bookkeeper is responsible for accurately recording & reporting the accounting transactions for the company and maintaining all records in compliance with any regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Accounting

    • Daily create invoices and record in MBA & DBA software
    • Mail/email as necessary
    • Cash & Accounts Receivable – Record daily transaction in MBA & prepare daily deposit
    • Accounts Payable – entering invoices in MBA & issuing checks weekly as needed
    • Prepare & enter journal entries as needed
    • Prepare Monthly Account Reconciliations

  • Human Resources

    • Payroll – weekly gathering data and generating payroll with Paychex
    • All Personnel & Payroll Record Keeping & Compliance
    • Vacation, Paid time off record keeping
    • Benefit Enrollments – Medical, Dental, Life, 401(k) etc.
    • New Hires/Separation record keeping

  • Serve as back-up for Customer Service & Production Scheduling & Control

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position of between 20 -25 hours per week. The timing of performing the work is flexible so long as it meets the needs of the position and company. The general hours office work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position on occasion may require work in excess of 20-25 hours of work.


Travel
Any travel is primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

  1. AAS Degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  2. 5+ years of related experience.

Material Handler

JOB DESCRIPTION: Material Handler

Summary/Objective
The material handler is responsible for supporting the operations with the handling, counting , and disposition of all materials in an efficient and expeditious manner.

Essential Functions
Basic Building Maintenance

  • Sidewalks/Grounds care - summer & winter
  • Trash / Scrap / Shop rag collection
  • Mop floors
  • Wipe down machines / Equipment


Morning Parts Handling in Machine shop

  • Morning Collection of Parts and daily count records
  • Daily Scrap bin maintenance and replacement when required
  • Reload rod stock & record daily usage records
  • Daily check of coolants, way and hydraulic fluids and keep usage records
  • Load bar, remnants removal and keep usage records
  • Floor maintenance to assure safe work areas and walk ways
  • Daily cleaning of chips from chip tray to inspect to assure good coolant flow without back up
  • Wipe down machines thru each step mentioned above. (ex. lathe, bar loader, coolant and chip tray, chip bin, parts conveyors, and chip conveyors)


Parts Cleaning / Handling

  • Wash parts in Elba automated washing machine, Branson ultrasonic cleaner, various deburring equipment(Spinner and barrel tumblers)
  • Maintain parts cleaning records for each part washed and parts washing procedures
  • Visually inspection - thru all handling process for burrs, dings, flaws making issues known to managers immediately to make any necessary corrections to production


Parts Counting & Handling

  • End phase visually inspection - thru all handling process for burrs, dings, flaws making issues known to managers immediately to make any necessary corrections to production prior to final counting
  • Use digital scale & bar code system to count bag parts ready for inventory or shipment requirements
  • Use manufacturing software to maintain Inventory inputs and adjustments
  • Record daily counts of that days production on daily production and machine schedule spreadsheets (must be complete each daily for that days collection)
  • Return all confirmed completed work orders to office to close in manufacturing software

Incoming Receipts

  • Unpack & record in the daily deliveries of material, tools & supplies.
  • Segregate inventory items for incoming inspection.
  • Once items are inspected return approved items to inventory shelves.

Assembly Work Orders

  • Each Thursday pull parts from inventory for all work orders scheduled to be assembled in the next week.

Shipments

  • Confirm parts and count accuracy to desired customer quantities on shipment documents
  • Enter all inventory / shipment transaction in manufacturing software
  • Complete packaging parts in box to weight and method as instructed to maximum weight restrictions to safely ship our delicate parts and assemblies, (leaving box open)
  • Final inspection of customer and address, parts and counts, bag quantities and labels, weight and packaging method and any other special shipment requirements.

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This position regularly requires overtime and frequent weekend work.
